Scribe came through to do an art show at the Krate last year and we lined up a few spots for him around town. He crushed them all to say the least. One of the spots included Santa Cruz High School.

Gettin Laced Up!

We decided to take the day yesterday to head up to the city and say hello to some friends. Our first stop was in Colma to visit one of our favorite Bay area rappers, ABS. We hit up Faro for lunch and then made our way into the city to visit our friend John at Fully Laced.  In case you don't know about these guys, they are doing big things across the board! They have one of the most comprehensive vintage and deadstock hat collections we have ever seen.  We did some big time shopping and brought back many amazing hats, beanies, custom belts, and shoe laces to showcase at The Krate!

Freshjive Fall 2010

After 20 years as one of the most controversial streetwear brands, Freshjive is not only denouncing their own name and branding beginning in 2010, but is altogether abandoning many of the aspects that previously classified them as a streetwear brand. They have taken full creative advantage of the versatility of debranding and have reintroduced the line combining a mix of classic and contemporary styling, with a strong focus on garment design. The t-shirt line has taken a surrealist angle, while still expressing their particular take on culture and the world at large. We like the direction for Fall 2010, a collection featuring lots of interesting cut-and-sew pieces, overall reflecting a maturing Freshjive.

Magic Las Vegas 2010

Caught this photo of Retna doing his thing in Vegas joined by Ewok, and Norm.. An amazing 50 ft long installation, I will try and upload a video for yall to see.  This year we set out to be on point and focused at Magic and link with some classic and progressive new companies.   We did just that, and are excited to be hosting many of our favorite brands for Spring 2011!
